We are creating fun, vibrant, and memorable cake smash portraits that capture your little one’s personality as they dive into their very first birthday cake. From curious pokes to enthusiastic squishes and joyous mouthfuls, we’ll be there to document every adorable, messy detail.

Our home studio is specifically designed to be a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for both you and your little one. We have everything ready, from themed decorations and props to the perfect lighting, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Our goal is to provide a stress-free and joyful session, allowing your baby to relax and enjoy the cake, while we capture those priceless expressions.

Photoshoot Tips:

Discuss Your Vision: Let’s chat about themes, colours, and any specific ideas you have! We can create something truly unique and special for your little one. I have props and backdrops, but your input helps make it personal.
Cake Matters: A 6-inch round cake is usually perfect. It’s big enough for them to dig into but not so overwhelming that it dwarfs them.
The Smash Outfit: Think cute, comfortable, and something you don’t mind getting completely covered in cake! Diaper covers, tutus, suspenders, or just a nappy look adorable. Consider a few options.
Snacks & Drinks: Bring your child’s favourite non-messy snacks and drinks. Sometimes a familiar snack can help re-engage them or provide a little break.
Bring a Towel & Change of Clothes: For both baby and yourselves! It gets messy, but that’s part of the fun. Wipes are also a must.
Nap and Feeding Schedule: Always schedule the session around your baby’s best time of day – usually after a good nap and a feed. A well-rested, happy baby makes for the best photos! Avoid scheduling too close to naptime or mealtime when they might be cranky or too hungry.

Book Well in Advance: Cake smash sessions are incredibly popular, and our calendar fills up quickly. We recommend booking your session 2-3 months before your baby’s first birthday to ensure availability and ample time for planning your custom theme.
